Bring the Rising Careers program to your school!

Rising Careers is Rising Tide’s Elevate and Educate pillar focused on college, career, and workforce pathways. Rising Careers provides your students with an additional layer of support as they transition toward graduation and into meaningful, well-planned next steps. It supports high school students and young adults as they explore options, gain practical skills, and connect to opportunities that lead to economic mobility and community leadership.

 

Program focus

Rising Careers serves youth who are college-bound, workforce-bound, or still exploring. Core activities can include career exploration sessions with local professionals, college readiness workshops, job readiness training in areas such as resume writing and interviewing, and exposure to entrepreneurship and small business ownership. Where feasible, Rising Careers also facilitates connections to internships, job shadowing, or part-time employment.

 

How Rising Careers supports your school or program

  • Adds capacity for individual and small group career exploration beyond what school counselors can provide alone.

  • Provides structured workshops that align with your college and career readiness goals.

  • Reinforces essential skills such as communication, professionalism, and digital literacy that support both academic and workforce success.

  • Connect youth to local employers, postsecondary institutions, and business owners in ways that reflect the diversity of your student body and community.

 

What a partnership looks like

  • Coordinate with Rising Tide to integrate Rising Careers workshops and sessions into existing advisory periods, after-school programs, or special events.

  • Collaborate on identifying priority student groups such as first-generation college students, youth unsure of their next step, or students seeking work-based learning experiences.

  • Share key timelines and requirements for graduation, college applications, and local workforce opportunities so programming can align with your calendar.

  • Use participation and outcome data from Rising Careers to support your school improvement and college and career readiness reporting.
